The small print…. please be aware that these terms do not supersede your statutory rights under the Sale of Goods acts, but are designed to clarify the principles by which Carrot Top Design operates.

Every care has been taken to ensure that the descriptions, images, and specifications of each product and service are correct on our website.

All prices shown on this website are in Pounds Sterling and are inclusive of VAT. Credit cards sales will be charged in your local billing currency by your credit card provider. From time to time data entry errors or other technical problems may result in inaccurate prices being shown: in such case we are not required to honour this price, although we may choose to do so depending on the circumstances, and we will endeavour to be fair to both parties. If you see any price you believe to be incorrect, please contact us so we can verify it for you.

The final price quoted on the payments page is the price of the goods including delivery to the stated destination. These charges include carriage by UK royal mail or other designated carrier. Most orders are dispatched using Royal Mail’s 2nd Class service, although during the busy Christmas period we will use the 1st Class service. Courier delivery can be arranged and will be charged accordingly. We aim to deliver within 3-10 days of receipt of your order. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that all items will always be in stock although we do try our best to keep stock levels updated. If an item you have purchased is out of stock we will advise you of an anticipated delivery date – if this is unsuitable and we cannot supply an appropriate alternative, we will happily refund your payment.

Local Duties and Taxes
As the purchaser, you are responsible for any duties and/or taxes levied at the point of entry into the destination country. An invoice is provided with all shipped orders.

Damage & Loss in Transit
It’s a frustrating fact of life that things do get lost or damaged in transit. If this happens with your order, please advise us and we will send replacement goods immediately. However, since we never knowingly ship damaged goods we may need your help to try to recover our costs from the carrier wherever possible… If you do receive damaged goods, please retain all relevant documentation in case we decide to make an insurance claim against the Royal Mail or the carrier’s insurers. If you receive a damaged or bashed parcel, please take a note of the fact (or even better a photograph) before you open the package to examine the contents. If this is a courier delivery and you are unable to open the damaged package in the presence of the courier, make sure that you sign for it as ‘damaged package; goods not yet inspected’ or similar to facilitate any claim we later make. Whatever the circumstances, please contact us by email at carrottopdesign1@gmail.com with as much detail as you can provide, as soon after delivery as possible. Please do not return damaged goods unless we ask you to do so.

Cancellation (UK Residents Only)
In accordance with EU Legislation, UK residents (only) may cancel their contract to purchase goods by formally notifying us within a period of seven working days of delivery, provided that the goods are immediately returned to us at the following address (to arrive within fourteen days of you originally receiving them. Glencrieff, 13 St Mary’s Street, Sanquhar, DG4 6DT. Goods must be in ‘as sold’ condition. In the event of cancellation under this legislation a full refund, including shipping costs, will be given within thirty days of our receipt of the returned goods, using the same payment method as the original transaction.

Payment and Retention of Title
All goods must be paid for prior to dispatch. If, for any reason, goods are shipped prior to clearance of payments, title in the goods shipped belongs to Carrot Top Design until payment in full for the goods has been made by you and received by us, at which time title will be transferred to you. Legal ownership of the goods will immediately revert to us if we refund any such payment to you. The risk in the goods will pass to you on delivery to you.

We undertake to make all reasonable efforts to keep information supplied to us by customers strictly confidential. We do not share our mailing list or shipping information with third parties (with the exception of those third parties employed by us in managing and shipping our orders) but do use it to advise our customers of goods and services offered by us that may be of interest and value to them, unless expressly instructed otherwise in writing. Information supplied to us may be stored on a computer system for our convenience. PayPal provide a service that is completely independent of our organisation and your credit card details are not divulged to us at any time.

Applicable Law and Courts of Jurisdiction
All transactions undertaken through this website are governed by Scottish Law and any legal actions arising out of such transactions shall be subject to Scottish legal processes and under the jurisdiction of Scottish courts.

Legal Statement
Carrot Top Design has total liability for any claim howsoever arising shall not exceed the price of the goods supplied by Carrot Top Design to the customer.
